Hey guys whats up, I have a 1991 240sx and I am having some problems with my break system, my breaks always seem to be engaged, Without even touching the brake peddal. The cars tail lights are on as if someone was stepping on the breaks, The brake peddal is super stiff.. all the way up and its almost impossible to bring it down. Is there anything i can check to solve the problem before i start replacing parts? If someone knows whats going on here, let me know, Thanks in advanced.

And i recently did a z32 brake swap, but i dont think it matters because both back and front brakes are gripping to the rotor.

sounds like you are having the start of the problem i had with my car...check the tail light housings(the thing the bulbs are housed in) and pull each bulb out one at a time and look at the contacts...if you see that its burned or melted...immediatly disconnect and replace with an unburned housing...also check the stoplight switch at the pedel...they go bad too...but my money is on the passenger side tail light...let me know if im right...if so...ill give you an address to send a 6 pack and as far as it being a stiff pedel i would search in the forums and see if its brake bias issue...im told that swapping to the 300 z brakes will make the bias all weird but dont quote me on it...ive yet to do the swap myself and still debating weather im going to at all...someone one this site has done it with success

Looks like either the master cylinder has gone bad and not releasing the hydraulic pressure or the brake pedal may be seized up at the pivot point.
