Hi all
I was checking on my 2011 QX brake switches and noticed minor fluid leak where pedal push rod is coming out of the firewall.
Is it master cylinder leak? In my wisdom, I do not know, if this vehicle has power booster between MC and firewall, or brake assist is done through brake actuator block and there's no booster then, it's MC leak, right?
Also, if I decide to r/p MC, does the system need to be bled with Nissan intelligent scanner? To bleed actuator, etc? That will be above my paygrade.

If there's brake fluid at the booster seal then it means the master rear seal is leaking and both the master and booster should be replaced. Brake fluid destroys the rubber parts in the booster.

Bleeding can be done without a scanner, it's just a tedious process. Bench-bleed the master before installation, then bleed the master-to-ABS lines at the ABS, then bleed the ABS at the four outlet fittings, then bleed the wheels. Make sure the ignition is off or the battery is disconnected during the whole process.

Got it. I'll check later if I even have booster, 2012 model doesn't.
Thank you.
