One question... Whenever I am driving and pressing the brake pedal - when I finally stop that pedal start shaking a little bit and make some strange noise. What it can be.?

That one I personally haven't heard of before. I'd definitely be interested in knowing what that could be so pls keep us informed.

I would check your rpm gauge. When I come to a stop on occasion the rpm's drop to 600rpm's and you get a little shaking feedback through the brake pedal. My solution for this is to let off the brakes for a second and the rpm's go back up to the 750-800 rpm range and the shaking goes away.

When I go in for my next service later this month I will inquire about the possibility the the battery power output might be low.

Bigger alternator might be the fix. I have this too.

I bet that's what it is. I experience this too. My rpms drop some right as I come to a complete stop and the low rpms send out this vibration you can feel through the brake pedal. I've never worried about it. It's not hurting anything and I'm sure it's not a power issue. I think it's just something a few cars do as my old Neon did this a few times also.

it may have something to do with the CVT downshifting?

Maybe the rotors are warped a bit and need turned.

Mine is 09, and yes, the brake pedal does vibrate. No problem for me tho.

my always shakes when going down a hill with no foot on the gas...but that has to do with the CVT shifting down.

It could be the same thing when you hit the brake and it starts to downshift.

Well, I have a the auto, but it's not a CVT. Just to specify. I don't find it annoying.

Hi Guys,

My first posting here.

I started experiencing the same issue as ibogs a few days back. The brake pedal has a vibrating/pulsating feel when pressed down when the gear is in drive, and vehicle is at a full stop. There is no vibration when I shift to Reverse or Park.

I'd appreciate any feedback, in case any of you have experienced this or know what might be causing this.

ibogs, also wondering if you have an update to your original posting.

Thanks.

BTW, I have a 2008 S Hatchback Automatic.

I have the same problem too, notice it a lot at redlights. I have the 4-speed auto.

I just chalk it up to one of the car's quirks. Probably something to do with the driveshaft or CV joints. Doesn't seem harmful....if it really bothers you just put her in neutral until the light changes.

Hi Roboturner,

I agree, it doesn't appear to be harmful as the car runs fine (knock on wood). It's just that it was fine and then the vibration started occurring and hasn't gone away.

I'll be taking it in for service in a few weeks, I'll ask the service guys to take a look at it. Will keep you posted if there's any update.

Thanks.
