i did pads and rotors all around and i had to replace a passenger rear caliper due to it being seized. bleeded the brakes got a nice firm pedal feel.

after driving for a while, after the brakes got nicely worked in the worked fine, you press it down a little bit and you'd get feedback right away with the brakes "great" push it down about an inch or two and it would stop beautifully.

now when i did the brakes the pistons on both front calipers went in fine, but after driving it a couple of days later, every now and than the brakes would be stiff as a mofo. like i'd just tap the brake pedal and the brakes would start applying already and it seems as if one of the brakes are applied as the car doesn't roll it just stops. when this happens, the pedal is stiff and everytime you go to change gears it feels like you're trying to stop.

but than this symptom disappears every now and than? my question would be are the front calipers seized or do i have air in the master cylinder? cause i don't know why it would have a nice firm pedal feel to all of a sudden a stiff pedal to the point where it doens't even move an inch and it'll stop.

any help would be appreciated.

and btw what's the other switch next to the brake pedal, i have two.

Ok. The second switch on the floorboard is your nuetral safety switch. The car won't start without the clutch being depressed.

As for the brakes, double check and make sure you bled everything properly.

no no. on the brake pedal there are two switches, 1 switch is for the brake lights to come on while pressed, but what is the other switch right beside it do.

and also, i don't have a clutch bypass, the car starts without the clutch being pressed in, this is not a converted 5spd, its a canadian model however.

The other switch at the brake pedal is for cruise control. AS far as your brake issue, it sounds as if there may be trash in the master cylinder from pushing the caliper pistons back. You can try bleeding the crap out of them but you may need a new master cylinder. A vacuum bleeder would be nice.
