I need new brake pads. Mostly daily driving, a little auto cross and maybe a little road course as well. What is recommended? Should I just stick with OEM?

I'm a big fan of Hawk...if you're sticking to auto-x/street, get the HPS. If you are actually planning on doing track events, get the HP+ or better. I daily drive on HP+ and that's a little aggressive for some...the amt of brake dust is pretty bad and my rotors are a few mm thinner than they should be (shhh, they'll get changed once the new ones come in hehe) after only 1 set of pads, but they are a rock solid pad and a good compromise IMO. Not very noisy either btw. I've run w/ Panther pads, EBC's, and Axxis pads. Whatever you do, stay away from EBC. ;-)

Another vote for Hawk. I have Hawk HPS and really like them. Not much noisier or dustier than OE pads, good on cold starts. I matched 'em up with some new Brembo OE rotors, SPL stainless brake lines and new fluid and I'm lovin' it.

For me, the HPS is perfect for daily driving with a bit of spirited driving at times. Like Dori Dori said, be aware that if you go for a more aggressive pad there are trade offs.

That is kind of the way I have been leaning the Hawk HPS. Good to hear that others have had good experience with them. Thanks for the advice.
