Hello,

I am new here and posting up for a friend's Rogue but i am somewhat familiar with the Rogue.

My friend has gone through a lot of issues with her Rogue, including the CVT transmission completely failing, belt, and other things and i was there to inspect the car so i know a bit about the car after doing research.

Anyways, the brake pads are now worn out on the car (40-50K miles) and she needs new brake pads. I have been searching a lot of sites with a very select few performance brake pads to be found. Either one site would sell the front brake pads only, or the rear pads only (the more common one). Anyone have good recommendations on where to buy brake pads for this car? I am looking for something more performance orientated, and this is due to the fact that she brakes quite aggressively. Really looking for some HAWK HPS, Stop Tech SP, EBC Reds or Greens, or anything of these caliber really. The only "performance" pad i can find is the Wagners, which i have put on a Camry and a G35 to find it most disappointing in braking performance. Really trying to keep it under $150 for front and rears.

Thanks.

FYI:

has-anyone-done-a-brake-job-yet-t371321.html#p4072379

Front pads: D1338
Fitment: 2008-11 NISSAN Rogue

Rear pads: D1288
Fitment: 2008 NISSAN Rogue, 2007 INFINITI G35, 2008-07 NISSAN Altima, 2008-07 NISSAN Sentra

Hawk has just recently released a fitment for the Rogue in both their Ceramic, HPS, and HP+ formulations however, they are not widely available yet. TireRack.com only has a listing for the fronts.

Front: # HB660x.661
Rear: # HB600x.539

*x denotes pad material: F=HPS, N=HP+ Z=Ceramic

Personally, I like ceramics for everyday driving. The HPS series are a more aggressive pad, and are very hard on brake rotors. I used them for 3 years on my Altima and went through 2 sets of rotors... and the pads were barely worn. HP+ pads are barely streetable and not recommended for a daily driver... more like a street car that is raced at the track on weekends. Of the lot, I would go for Hawk Ceramics. The HPS is another option, but be prepared to deal with brake rotor wear/ warping.

Another option is Satisfied Performance. They make pad formulations for the Rogue from their basic Pro Performance all the way up to the GranSport racing series. I personally use the Pro Ceramic on my Rogue and I am very happy with them. All versions are readily available now. You can purchase Satisfied products online:

Thanks for the quick replies.

Well the reason why i was asking for performance pads is because she brakes decently hard and sort of late which could be changed since it's a driving habit, but i really don't want to risk that. Basically i am looking for something with a better response than stock brake pads. Something that could do well when cold and something that can take abuse. EBC Greens sound good, but i can hardly find them and one site had them for ridiculous prices. Any site with front and rears?

I have the Hawk HPS on my car and find them lacking compared to the EBC Reds i had on previously lol. I don't know maybe i like immense stopping power.

For the front you list Spec V is the same for the Rogue. Out of curiousity would the Spec V be the same as the SE-R? For the rear, would Sentra be the same as SE-R edition?

Problem is initial brake pad bit does not equal 'stopping power'. You can get some pads that have great bite when cold, but cycle them a few times and they fade quickly. Many 'performance' street pads like the Hawk HPS actually have average to poor stopping power when cold, but they really come into their own when heated up.

Unfortunately, you cannot have both.

There are 2 versions of the Sentra SE-R: The 'regular' SE-R and the SE-R Spec-V.

All '07+ Sentra SE-R's including the Spec-V use the same rear brake pads.

I found the EBC Reds were great at that initial bite when cold and after being heated up. I don't know maybe that is just me.

Sorry i guess i should of been more clear. What i meant to ask was does the Sentra SE-R and Spec V share the same brake pads in the front?

Thanks for letting me know the SE-R and Spec V share the same brake pads in the rear. Will make finding pads much easier for the Rogue :dblthumb:

No, they do not share the same brakes in the front. The Spec-V uses a larger 12.6" x 1.10" rotor and brake pads to match. The SE-R uses a smaller 11.7 x 0.94 rotor and pads.

New information:

I have found the Sentra SE-R Spec-V cross reference is incorrect. The front brake pads from any Sentra model are not interchangeable. The information I based it on has since changed.

Here is the new cross reference information:

Front pads: FMSI# D1338
Fitment: 2008-11 NISSAN Rogue

Rear pads: FMSI# D1288
Fitment: 2008-10 NISSAN Rogue, 2007-10 INFINITI G35-G37, 2007-09 NISSAN Altima, 2007-10 NISSAN Sentra

So to confirm the front pads for the Rogue are not interchangeable with any other nissan model?

Nope. There is no interchange with any Nissan, Infiniti, or any other car.
