Brake pads for 04 Spec V with Brembos?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I need new rotors...like yesterday. I have an 04 SE-R Spec V with the Brembo brakes. I would like drilled rotors like Powerslots or something, but they don't have anything that fits. I've just about given up searching tonight when I find this:

http://www.tirerack.com/brakes...ode=S

and this:

http://www.autoanything.com/br....aspx

Not very glamorous, huh? The first one isn't even drilled or slotted, I know. But they are pretty cheap compared to what the dealer will want for OEM, I'm sure. Plus, they APPEAR to fit. Anyone got any other suggestions? I haven't looked at the rear brakes yet. I'm kind of hoping they are fine. I'll just do them later if I have to, but the fronts are getting bad. Anyone else run into this almost total lack of options for the Brembo brake package?

Powerslot has a better rep and those rotors will actually be a slight upgrade. I'd call to confirm that they fit the Brembo package.

God I need to get in to making complete brake packages. My friend had to change his rotor the other day and I was just thinking "wow I could be making these wtf" >.<

Ill check out Rotora too...thanks. Yeah, Im thinking these Powerslots will get my money though. Cheaper than OEM and an upgrade. Plus, OEM has a habit of warping rather easily in my experience. Now any suggestions on pads? I have the Nismo pads on there right now and noticed literally zero difference from the OEM pads. I dont really care much to upgrade, but I would like them to be comparable to OEM or the Nismo ones without breaking the bank. I'm gonna install all this myself and I'm trying to keep the price under 300 for the whole deal.

Project MU NS pad is the pad I run on my Brembo brakes on the G. A friend of mine has been turned onto them on his Spec and he loves them. Hardly no dust and no noise. Any particular reason you want slotted and crossed drilled rotors? Do you track the car? If not, it is a waste of money IMHO.

There are plenty of sites that you can get replacement rotors/pads. Here are a few

Stillen makes rotors that work with Brembo's. I don't know about the quality though, never used em.

Thanks for the links, I'll check them out. And I live in TX. In the summer, the heat soak on your brakes can actually be felt just out running errands, let alone tracking the car. The fade can be pretty annoying. So, I don't have to track the car to want an improvement over stock, LOL... Slotted or drilled are the next logical step, but the main thing that's bugging me is how fast and bad the OEM rotors warp. Avoiding warping is my main concern, but getting some improved brake feel/bite/fade resistance is always a plus too as long as I'm upgrading...

Looks like Stillen is the winner out of the most recent links provided, but still quite pricey at about 300 bucks for a pair of rotors. I'll keep looking...thanks for the links so far though guys.

Front OEM:http://www.courtesyparts.com/4...=2837&

Rear OEM:http://www.courtesyparts.com/4....html

The rear I'm iffy about. Call Courtesy Parts and ask them. Great retailer in my opinion.

I asked for help on rotors and got it. I think I've found what I'm looking for in that dept. I THOUGHT I could find brake pads easy enough, but now even that is proving to be somewhat difficult.

I need some suggestions. If you have the Brembo brakes on a Spec V, please chime in and tell me what you're using for brake pads. I've found the Nismo brake pads (which are what I currently have and they do fine), but they are pretty expensive and I question if they are really worth the price.

So far, I've found these:

http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3215

Any other suggestions? Any feedback on the two I show here?

Not interested in OEM. They warp way too easy and are over priced. I think I'll be going with Power Slots:

http://www.autoanything.com/br....aspx

30 bucks cheaper PER rotor for the fronts...and I'll just worry about the rears later...

You probably should keep your threads combined into one.

Hawk, Mintex, Stillen, and of course there are OEM pads available.

I'd definitely go with the Powerslots, just make sure you get the right ones.

Yeah, I made sure its got the right year model and actually says "Brembo". If for some reason I get the wrong part, their return policy should be hassle free...

Yeah, I know...but I DID ask about pads in my original thread...figured it might be easier for those searching in the future if there were two threads, plus I'm hoping I get more suggestions. Didn't have much luck with the one reply I got...slim pickins all around for the Brembo package on the V. I should have just saved the money and gotten the regular brakes...*sigh*

EDIT: Oh and the first link I provided is the same site you suggest in your reply lol.

I have Nismo pads on my brembo's and I love them! Them last a very long time and you can easily get them at a Nissan dealer...

No steel braided brake lines here man. That may come in time, but not till the stock hoses are close to end of life...

Wow. Thats a rip off. Thanks for the heads up...if I ever need to replace my brake lines I'll certainly be doing aftermarket...

BTW, if anyone cares, heres what I ended up ordering for my Brembo brakes:

Rotors:http://www.autoanything.com/br....aspx

Brake pads:http://www.stillen.com/product...model=

Got 10% off on the rotors just for asking, and free shipping on all of it, so my total for all of this is 282.00. Not bad considering these should be an upgrade over OEM. Have to wait on the rotors though as they are on backorder, so that sucks...they're supposed to ship around the first week of November, so heads up to anyone who decides to order those exact ones...
