I just put a new set of pads and rotors on my vert, and I discovered something strange. Maybe this has been covered before, but the pads it required were from a car with anti-lock brakes, but the rotors were from a car without anti-lock brakes. My car does not have ABS so what gives? Why do my calipers hold pads that are for a car with an ABS system?

Ah, the intricacies...

The verts used the larger rotors and pads from the ABS-equipped S13, likely due to the added weight.

Although I don't believe there were any verts produced with ABS.

But my car had the standard rotors and not the rotors from an ABS model... did I put the wrong rotors on? That's what was on my car when I took them off...

The ABS rotors are 2mm thicker and a tiny bit larger in diameter. Those about the only differences I saw when comparing the two side by side and on top of each other...

Any thoughts?
