Brake pads and ABS

I was looking at new pads and rotors for my 1992 vert and they list them with and without ABS. How does on know if the car had ABS?

yours probably doesn't, but if you want to check pop the hood and check your master cyl. If I remember correctly, non ABS cars have 4 lines off the mc, but I think abs cars have 2 or 3. anyway there will be a giant metal box/valve looking think on the pass. of the car that your brake lines will run into. If they just cross over and run under the car then no ABS.You should be aware that convertibles had bigger brakes that non convertibles though, and I'm not sure but I'd guess they probably take a larger pad.

I thought all verts didnt have abs?

Anyways, the rear brakes/rotors are the same regardless of abs. I know cuz I just upgraded all 4.

I replaced mine. All the 'verts have ABS pads and rotors in the front, but werent equipped with ABS. The larger rotors and pads were added to compensate for the extra weight. This is if i remember correctly. Please correct me if I'm worng.

You are correct all verts have abs pads and rotors at the front, but not abs.I just changed mine about a month ago.

yeah the rears are the same pads for every 240sx I'm pretty sure, S13/S14 se/no se etc. even the 5 lug ones.

the fronts are a bit different.

I don't know much about fronts cause the first thing I did with those rusty brakes that were on mine was chuck them for something bigger!
