i searched on this subject, because i am sure its been asked before but looks like the archives are down....
i will be replacing the brake pads on my 99 i30, since the car has antilock brakes when i go to screw in the rear pistons do i have to open a bleeder valve or anything or can i just retract the caliper piston with out screwing up the antilock brakes?
how about the front pads can i simply compress them or do i have to open up a bleeder valve?
an lastly since last night i tried to compress the rear caliper piston with a C clamp and hand pressure before i realized it screwed in what are the chances i did damage to the rear caliper piston adjusting mechanism...we only used hand pressure no big breaker bars or anything...thanks bob
