Brake pad recommendations

need new brake pads and rotors for the front, what type of brake pads do you guys recommend for the '01 pathfinder 3.5 4wd ?

my other car is a '99 bmw 328iC, and pagids are an excellent OEM replacement. just wondering what the nissan guys say.

Well I dont really have one to recommend. My last set was mountain rotors with federal mogul thermoquiet pads and they worked GREAT at first but within a year the rotors got warped and the pads get a lot of brake fade when hot now...

I just received Brembo brake rotors and Hawk HPS street pads, the pads look great but I haven't slapped them in yet but illl update you in two weeks when I can borrow the garage to install

thanks fueler for letting me know about the mountain rotors. i went with the OEM replacement rotors and i am going to try the EBC pads.

i am also in the process of replacing the intake valve timing solenoids on both sides, as they were leaking. last week i had the oil cooler go, so time for a little service. will be replacing the belt as well. this is my wife's car and with 135k miles, time for a little service.

if you have ever replaced the intake valve timing solenoids, let me know if there are any tricks to this. thanks.
