Brake pad life on 2007 G35s sedans

Hello all,

Just got a 07 G35s sedan. Given all of the horror stories regarding 03-06 sedan brake wear problems, just wondering what the verdict, so far, is on the new gen.

I would not say horrible. I know there was a little issue with 03 dusting but that's about it. I have an 07 with about 12k miles no issue at all and I am driving it hard since day 1.

Thanks. So its just tires then. Plan to be a little lead-footed once the break-in period is over.

Not yet guys. Car's been in the garage all day. But here an image from the Motortrend road test. Exact same car.

Sold a 89 Porsche 911 for this. This is faster, less dramatic handling (the engine hanging out on the rear end gets ya great grip in acceleration but the front end sure do get light), talk about steerting with the throttle.
