brake pad installation price?

Hey guysSince I don't nkow how to change my own brakes, looking into getting my brake pads changed outdoes 200 for all corners seem cheap if I provide brakes?

What do you think I should do and how much should it be?

Find a new mechanic. That price is insane. The guy I went to for my old car I got the rotors pads + install for like 130. I don't think ittakes more than an hour for an experienced mechanic to change 4 brake pads. Shouldn't be over 100 tops IMO.

I was looking online briefly and I think the only way it should be 200 bucks is either A) It is a really complicated brake system like something you would see on a Porsche, where you are already paying a premium on any service at any mechanic just because its a PorscheorB)You are getting the brake pads from the mechanic, but still it seems fishy.

That all being said, there is a mechanic right down the street from me that strictly deals with Porsches, Mercedes and some BMWs. Must be sweet to only work on those cars. Its amazing because his shop is so small and looks like crap kind of but I guess he has a good reputation with those Porsche people because its always packed with cars.
