i got some KVR pads, put them on today and they seemed very tight, well they are constantly in contact with the rotor and i cant figure out why. its a 91 240 and they are the front pads. any ideas, i can only think that they might be the wrong pads. thanks for any help.

I have gotten aftermarket pads myself that fit tight in the caliper because of the way the steel backing is stamped by the machine. You can remove the pad and the top and bottom ends of the pad that go into the caliper can be filed for a looser fit. Make sure they aren't to tight because the lining is to thick. Once the caliper is completely compressed the caliper should slide over the pads with a little space or play.
