I just swapped a working rear subframe into my new 90sx. The driver side caliper was already assembled but the passenger caliper was disassembled. (keep in mind this is my first 240 so Im inexperienced), The caliper had 2 funky clips for the pads but they seemed impossible to get inside the caliper with the clips so we left the clips out. I drove the car for the first time today... brake peddle went half way before doing ANYTHING and all the way down didnt brake well at all. There's also noice coming form that rear brake. I figure they need to be bled all the way around, but does anyone know, or have a tip on if the reason for the noice is from the clips not being in? Its a dumb question for such an easy part but I could not figure out how to put those damn clips in. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Welcome to Nico.

I suppose someone could try to explain how to put those clips on, or even show you a picture. But I think the easiest thing for you to do would be to remove the other wheel and look at how everything is put together on the other side.

Please don't take too much offense by this, but please be sure you know what you're doing to your car if you intend to drive it on public streets. My family is on those streets, too.

If you did look at the other side and are still having trouble with it then maybe I misunderstood. I thought you couldn't figure out how the clilps went in. Is that not quite it?

Good luck to you and your buddy. If you still can't get it with his help, come on back and we'll hook you up with whatever info you need.
