Hey....im looking to replace my brake pads. I am pretty heavy on the brakes and go through new pads every 6 months or so. I was wondering if there was better quality pads out there thatlast a while without braking the bank.

Its a 98 Max with stock braking system.

I was thinking.... Do you clean them regularly with brake cleaner?

You also might take some steel wool and lightly breakup any glaze on the rotors

I used them and they work great. I would go with Brembo rotors.

I just bought these pads and am going to have them installed this weekend. I have to admitt, im not very technical. But how would i go about cleaning them....with gas being so high i can afford new brakes every 6 months

I've always liked the bendix brake pads for oem replacement. Stay away from the cheap stuff. The cheap rotors will warp and the pads will squeel.
