What are some signs that the brake master cylinder is going???

question, okay if you have to pump the brake like 3 times before the brakes start clamping, and after those 3 pumps there is no movement of the pedal, that means there is air in the lines right??? and not a bad MC...

what kind of car are you driving? you should be driving to judge your pedal feel since the vaccum booster will give the illusion of a weak pedal. Also if you have rear drum brakes they may just be out of adjustment.

bleed the brakes, and if you still cannot maintain a normal pedal feel, there may be leaks or a bad M/C.

with your symptoms, i would say the M/C is the prime suspect. but bleed the brakes before you jump to conclusions. after you get any air out of the lines, its easier to make a proper diagnosis.
