No I didn't use the Search, I'll get in line for my beating after wards. But I'm strapped for time and need advice quickly. I'll get straight to the point...

My brake master has been leaking for a bit, but I thought I could draw it out a little longer, I didn't wanna drop $150 on a stock 240 master. Plus I wanted to look into what would be best for me. It's been getting worse and worse, but as I left work today on my lunch, my pedal was on the ground. I added some fluid and I can stop, lets leave it at that.

Most people would just R&I, but I wanted to op for the 300ZX brake upg or just a full big brake kit sometime in the near future. I just wanted to know can I keep the 240sx master cyl or will I have to get a 300ZX one? With that said, if I do need a 300ZX master for my plans, can I use the 300ZX master with the stock 240SX brakes ATM? Do the lines match up or anything?

Sorry for the nubish questions, I usually do my research, but I'm strapped for time, gotta get back to work! Thanks in advance for any help.

I would not recommend using the 240 brakes with a Z master cylinder. The pedal would be all sorts of sloppy.

You can use the Z calipers with a 240 master, the pedal is just really touchy, and the brakes lock up easily.

When you get z32 BMC, get Tokico 17/16. Don't throw 240 BMC away. Cut it, take the fitting out and put it in z32 BMC.

I already got a price for a 240 BMC, $150. At cost, I work at a shop. I'm getting it new though, not rebuilt. I've seen what's happened with rebuilt ones.
