http://www.300degree.com/hard_parts/brakebrace/ i found this brace while surfing this morning and was wondering if any of my fellow NICO'ers have tried such a contraption. i don't think i would get one, just wondering if its really necessary. or if anyone has experinece w/ this gizmo.

thoughts/opinions??

Its not necessary, but neither are SS lines, etc.

Its a little add-on..most race cars brace them, for the reasons stated in the item description. something neat to do if you're bored, IMO.

If someone made on for the S chassis I'd have bouhgt it already just as a little thing to do and improve brake feel at the limit a bit more...god knows I've done tons of little crap to my car anyways..-Chet

a shop near me imported a few skylines, and one of them has a strut tower bar that has a brake master cylinder brace built into it. It's pretty cool, ive never seen one like that

Exar-Kun: yeah its not necessary, i read that the first time. since coilovers, big brakes, turbo kits are not necessary why then have these forums to gather information about them. thanks

deezlins: if you come across a pic that would be cool. curious how the 2 designs would compare.

to discuss them for people that want info on them, but they're not "necessary". Why have a discussion on anything, there are plenty of things that are not of necessity....

Its a conditional upgrade..IE you want to get better pedal feel, you would get SS lines.

Also, that was sarcasm in my last post. BUt I do have a hearty dislike for people thinking things like coilovers and stuff are a "necessary" mod....
