I own a 1990 240sx hatchback.
Today, after I redid the rubber around my tail lights to stop the flooding in my trunk, I noticed the brake lights no long worked after I re-installed them.
The running lights work, the reverse lights work, and the rear blinkers, but the brake lights don't come on when I hit the brakes.
The center light also doesn't light up when i hit the brakes.
All the lights work fine, the brake lights come on dim when i turn on the headlights like they're supposed to, but when I hit the brakes they don't get brighter.
I've messed with the brake switch on the brake pedal just to see if it was malfunctioning, and it works fine.
I've noticed there are 3 wires running to each brakelight, one black, one red with blue, and one red with green, so i'm assuming one of them controls the brake lights to get brighter, and light the other filament inside the bulb.
I'm stuck on ideas for the moment.
They worked fine before i took them out, and all of the fuses look good
