Brake lights stay on [SOLVED - pedal stopper]

2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE. Truck sat for a few years while I was away. Everything works perfect now that I use it daily except my brake lights stay on. Something is stuck somewhere. Where do I start, what do I do???

Try finding the brake light switch under your pedal in the footwell area. Depress and release it many times to see if anything is stuck within the mechanism.
Then you might just need to replace the switch since it might be bad and is stuck engaged.

Also check the brake fluid level see if it is too low. I remember too low brake fluid level will also turn the warning light on.

i think the emergency brake will also turn the light on if it's engaged. check that switch too.

Week ago got the same.

In my case it was "brake pedal stopper" (google it)

Bought on ebay "Genuine Rubber Stopper 46584-S0100", easy fix.

ok, so I took my truck to the Goodyear service center here in Destin, FL to have my tensioner pully put back on (way back months ago when i did the alternator I forgot to tighten the nut on the front back ON right i guess and it came off, SHREDDED MY BELT and had happened right in front of Goodyear thank God.) Anyways, after I explained being a poor construction worker on the road,the good ole boy mechanic said he'd fix my break lights being on and yea IT WAS THE BREAK PEDAL STOPPER and they charged me $300 to put my tensioner back on btw. I noticed they had tightened my leads too to my battery ect. NOW,my sunroof doesn't work. It was working perfectly when I took it to goodyear service center!!! Where or what do i do to get it back working??? Its got to be a fuse or some security feature maybe(I do not have the FOB).....................THANK YOU PEOPLE FOR TAKING THE TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY AND REPLYING
