Yes, its been covered numerous times. There's a little pad in between your break pedal and the mount. It sounds like it has broken/fallen out. Replace it. Search and I'm sure you can find the actual part number.

How do you get that bad boy out??? Very little room to work and I'm not sure which pin is broken. I did find a half of a plastic disc on the floor mat that probably is the dry rotted/broken piece that fell out. Thanks, Jestmaty

You have to get upside down and squeeze in there. Its a real pain, but is do-able. To find out which one is broken, push in the break pedal. You'll see one in tact and just a hole where the broken one use to be.

Thanks all for the input and advice. I did go by the dealer and buy the correct part (cost $1.62) and tackled it myself.

FYI- I decided to enlist the help of a neighbor to release the bleed valve on the driver side front brake so that I could press the pedal far enough to get to the grommet hole in the pedal. There was NO!! way I could get between the switch and the pedal unless I got it to the floor (almost)

I then started my 240 which had been sitting for 2weeks and found gas spraying out of my fuel line just before the filter

A quick disconnect and cut off of about 1/4" fuel line and I was back in business

Now to move on to the driver side window that hasn't gone down since June of last year..... that's right, my lazy *** won't fix the electric motor to roll down the window. That is what a/c is for!! In case anyone wants to guide me on THIS problem, I hear a faint click in the door when I press the down button, but no move... I'm guessing a relay or something, at least I know I've got power going into the door..

Thanks again for ya'lls help on the brake switch dilemma. Jestmaty
