Thanks all for the input and advice. I did go by the dealer and buy the correct part (cost $1.62) and tackled it myself.
FYI- I decided to enlist the help of a neighbor to release the bleed valve on the driver side front brake so that I could press the pedal far enough to get to the grommet hole in the pedal. There was NO!! way I could get between the switch and the pedal unless I got it to the floor (almost)
I then started my 240 which had been sitting for 2weeks and found gas spraying out of my fuel line just before the filter
A quick disconnect and cut off of about 1/4" fuel line and I was back in business
Now to move on to the driver side window that hasn't gone down since June of last year..... that's right, my lazy *** won't fix the electric motor to roll down the window. That is what a/c is for!! In case anyone wants to guide me on THIS problem, I hear a faint click in the door when I press the down button, but no move... I'm guessing a relay or something, at least I know I've got power going into the door..
Thanks again for ya'lls help on the brake switch dilemma. Jestmaty
