My brake lights stay on even if the key is out, and no one is pressing on the break. I assume its the sensor, but i could be wrong. If this is the case could someone get a picture or descibe it in more detail than "its by the break pedal". Thanks for the time

Sounds like your brake pedal position sensor. Normally it will be near the top of the brake pedal assembly. It "should" have a lock nut and thread into the brake pedal bracket. See if you can locate it, disconnect it and see if your brake lights go off. Or see if it is visibly sticking and replace it.

Good luck.

This is a very common problem. There is a small bumper-pad that is in the brake pedal assembly that actuates the switch. Over time, they become brittle and break. You can pick up new ones from the dealer for a couple of bucks. Do some searching around and you'll find numerous threads about this.

You might as well replace the one near your clutch while your at it
