Need help! My 1997 infinity j30 has no brake lights, all other lights work in rear. I changed the brake light fuse and switch, but still no lights. So Is there a relay for the brake lights and where would it be located?

Hey James, welcome aboard!

Start simple - are both bulbs good? Let's also look at the switch on the pedal (that's a frequent failure). Pull the 2 wires off that switch and touch them together - you should get brake lights. If so, the switch is bad.

Relay is unlikely, but you can do the diagnostic process that's in the FSM (find yours at infinitiservicemanual.com).

after you try AZ hitman's suggestions....there is a stop light sensor mounted in the truck, diagram on where it is and the circuit is attached....some people have reported they need to replace the whole unit, some have just cleaned up the contacts....

good luck, let us know....

Rich
