I have the brake light on the center cluster staying on after I disengage the emergency brake. They light stays on but once the car is warmed up and I re-start it again the light goes out. The brake fluid is full, any ideas?

Don't know about the Z32, but does it have a low brake fluid sensor? I wouldn't think it would if the Z32 doesn't, but I'm not sure. I don't think it came with ABS either except overseas, so I doubt it would be that. I'd bet your switch is just stuck. Go at it with a meter and see what you come up with. Should just be a simple open/closed switch.

This is a Z31 and the fluid is full, first thing I checkec.

Usually attached to the e-brake lever on just about any car I've ever worked on...

So update on this odd issue, when I drove the car for 20 miles the light goes out. It comes back on after sitting for more than 20-30 minutes and then goes out again.

I am thinking there is something going on with the brakes but oddly they feel great and the brake fluid res is full

Did you check the switch?

The e brake switch? I don't know where that is, but woudln't think that part would either work or not work. After the car runs for 20 minutes the light goes out.

Can you point me to the switch? Meanwhile, on Monday I am taking the car to my mechanic and having the brake fluid drained out of it and refilled since I haven't done that in a long time and see if that helps the situation.

It should just be on the parking brake lever, under the boot. May have to remove the console to get to it.

Issue fixed, while the brake fluid level was not low a fluid change and cleaning of the system fixed it, magic!
