When driving, my Ebrake light will randomly come on, especially when cornering slightly hard and then eventually turning off...Anybody?

the switch resides next to the ebrake that tells if it's up or down needs to be readjusted. sounds like it's making contact during braking and weight transfers.

this happened on my old tempo, but it's a very rare case unless you forget to keep tabs on fluid levels like i do every now and again. My MC was almost empty of brake fluid and the car was throwing random e brake lights at me, but I assumed it was just the car being stupid because it did the same with the CEL (which was faulty wiring, we had the engine and ECU checked and no one came up with anything). I topped the resevoir off and the light went away.

Its prolly more technical, but there are more people that come to this forum, therefore more chances of answers...

It SHOULD be posted in technical, but I dunno if it's complicated enough to deserve a spot in the coveted technical forum. :)

Anyhow, fill up the MC and the light will go away. Don't forget to release the e-brake while you're at it. :)

i had a friend who went through three MC's for his MX-6 from advance auto (i think they were made by bendix, but i'm not sure). All the resevoir seals would blow and it would let air into the system. He finally went to Mazda and got one from them. Hasn't had a problem since.
