So i went to go get some food and couldnt go due to a bad battery b/c i noticed my brakes lights would not go off. I tried pushing in the pedal once to see if maybe someone got stuck, but no help. I ended up just pulling fuse 15 (stop lamp) last night to save the rest of battery. Today i put the fuse back in and had battery power so road around neighborhood, still didnt work. I pulled the brake lamp fuse (lower 15) and then the brake light fuse (want to see it was a 10) but the lights would not go off untill i pulled that 15 stop lamp fuse? Can anyone help me please before i end of driving illegal to work

get your head by all the pedals so you can look around. bring a flashlight.

if you follow the brake pedal to where it actuates the brake light switch, you'll see that there is a tab of metal that sticks out and actually pushes the plunger. but for some reason, nissan engineers decided to drill a hole through that tab and stick a piece of plastic in there.

the plastic breaks, and your lights don't go off.

I stuck one of the plastic interior panel clips into it, and it's worked fine so far. untill I hit the brakes really hard one day and it fell out....
