Well, I just finished my swap about a week ago in my 93 240sx SE hatch. Everything went very smoothly and the car started on the first try. I finally got rid of most of the little kinks that were holding me back but now another has popped up. I noticed that under different amounts of throttle the e-brake light will come on (full strength) along with the battery light which only comes on very dimmly and can only be seen at night. After about a 25% amount of throttle application the brake light will come on and stay on until i let up on the gas or shift gears. It also comes on when I let off of the gas and leave it in gear but once I push the clutch in the light turns off again once the rpms drop below 1000rpm. I also hear a clicking under the dash when the light turns off. Today we checked some of the wiring and the voltage before and after start up. Before start up the voltage at the battery is 12.5v and after start up it rises very slowly to 13.8-14 volts. We also checked grounds which all looked fine. I have no idea what could be causing the light to come on. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be? At first I thought it was the alternator but the voltage checked out so Im stuck. The car drives fine and pulls nice, its just that light that scares me a bit. Please help me. Sorry for the long post.
