just recently, my 240sx coupe reven up the rpm but doesnt really go anywhere unless i floor the hell out of it. thus, it has trouble changing gears. and my tail/brake lights are dead. im just hopin its a simple fuse or wiring problem. maybe the trans dying or maybe it has something to do with my brake lights.

Sounds like your clutch has gone bad.

and.

S13 Coupe? Bad grounds to the light bulb housings. Clean the contacts of the housings and make new ground leads, ground the leads to the body of the car.

Do that, if it is NOT a fuse.

im having a similar problem...my brakelights dont come on when the pedal is pressed...new bulbs, new switch and all the lights come on when turned on...just no brakelights when pedal is applied..tried that little ground lead trick...yeah...that worked...can you tell the sarcasm...im coming to find in several threads that there seems to be a problem with the brakelights...does anyone actually know how to fix it or are there just people out there guessing...im not alone in this brakelight problem...has anyone actually fixed it?
