This is the first post and I want to thank everyone for the awesome input I was able to replace my alternator yesterday and I was able to do it in about 3.5 hours (it was my first time).

Now that it's done I was wondering if I could post two questions i have:

1) are there any instructions on how to replace my trip odometer bulbs on my 95 Q45? I don't want to wreck anything on my dash.

2) When I release my e-brake the brake indicator light stays lit even though the e-brake is completely released. I checked the button on the sensor and it moves smoothly but not sure if the entire sensor needs to be replaced. Any thoughts?

I have a similar problem. on my 99 Q, the brake lights are stuck on (the high brake light also). i noticed also when i engage the cruise control, it flashes and never engages. i am assuming this is because it thinks the brakes are being applied. any ideas?

For that specific dual issue of Rear Brake Lights staying on and inability to get Cruise Control engaged - post6003090.html?hilit=brake%20switch - check if the switches work manually, but if both switches are sitting in the holes and NOT hitting the rubber baby buggy bumpers - you're about 100% sure (and finding the pieces is another give-away)
