Well hey everyone is me again with more noob questions.

Okay so i find that most of the time I CANT STOP on time at stop signs... is almost like my brake is not good enough or something... I swapped out my stock one into the EBC Red Stuff couple months ago.

Somehow i just feel like the car wont stop...
Idk if SUV brake systems are different compare to ours, but when i try driving my mom's Nissan Rogue her brake feels like 10x better than mine, like it responds faster..... but when i drive my coupe i feel like the car is not stopping....

Put it in a easier way what im saying is, the SUV dont take much effort to stop, while my coupe takes like alot of effort ....
Sorry idk how to explain this.... and hopefully someone can answer my question.

What do you mean if they were wrapped?
I had stock brake pads until it was aroound 3200 miles then i ordered front and rear EBC red stuff pads to replace the stock pads.... and after i changed the pads, i didnt feel much difference from the stock ones, it felt pretty much the same...

Reason i asked was to make sure he did it the correct way. its mainly off experience with my car that has way more mileage & replaced brakes like 5 times already

*edit*
warped disc brakes is when the disk itself is uneven. you notice it when you feel it a bit bumpy when you use your brakes

ouch... yah, people need to know how to put on wheels right. get a breaker bar, socket that fits ur lug nuts, and a torque wrench at sears and you have everything u need to do it properly. but with that the biggest danger is having ur wheel come off (ive seen it happen). but warped rotors wont cause ur braking to go to sh*t unless u do something else with it. i cant inagine warped rotors being the cause. does the steering wheel shake when u brake??

Man idk lol i have limtied knowledge with stuff like this... but i brought it to my friend who works at a NTB to get it put on... it wasnt my friend that put the pads on, it was one of the worker at NTB who claim he worked on brakes for like ever lol....
And i was charged for like 150 for just replacing the PADS... "I provided them ofc"
I wonder if this is a rip off...

Well steering wheel doesnt shake when i brake... is completely normal
but have yall ever drove like a SUV? when u brake with a SUV, i just feel like the brake system is more senstive compare to my coupe...
I never drove other cars other than the SUV and my coupe so im not really sure what the deal is

Unless you track it and daily drive it then yes it could. it will "lag" a bit to stop. but on a new car like that, i cant imagine that happening either

I have around 8300 miles on them right now, 5300 is with the EBC pads...
And yes they charged me 150$, my friend sed it was a good deal already.... -.-?
I honestly HAVE no idea how laboring is charged....
I dont think is lag... is pretty much every 6 out of 10 times i hit the brake im unable to stop.

Okay my neighborhood is contains 2 stop signs until u get to the main road.
Usually im driving about "MAX FASTEST" 35MPH (ALSO I HAVE 19" RIMS) which is equal to about 30mph? And i live on the 4TH street in the neighborhood the stop sign is built at every 2 street. And im driving at 35MPH and on the 1st stop sign im always like across the white line. And at the 2nd i have to pretty much step on the brake hard to try stay behind the line so i wont have my head out in the main street -_-

agreed, i just re-read one of ur posts fenderpick, why did you change your pads if you only had 3k on them(please correct me if im wrong), im on my origionals and i have 18k on them. brakes should last a good 20+k with normal driving. yes, the sensitivity for our cars brakes may seem not agressive, ive driven quite a few cars that were more sensitive. some are more sensitive then others, just the way it is.

Did you start having this problem after switching the rims? if they'r a lot heavier that would definately contribute to slower stops. I'm not sure what the rates are where you are but that seems a pretty penny for what takes a tech 25min tops to do. I would go somewhere else next time and try and see if its cheaper. I have instructions on how to change pads that i did for a class that I would be happy to email to u for future reference.

Well u see i felt the stock ones werent that good so i thought putting some new pads on it will make handling better.... but unforantely is the same crap =_=?

I plan on getting the EBC slot drilled rotors... for front and rear but im afraid it wont make much of difference...
Also im very interestred in those Rotora big brakes from umm Loop here lol

yah, the brakes may seem insensitive but you get used to them. u just have to press a little harder. drilled/slotted rotors wont make a difference for daily driving. but if u got the dough get loops brakes, i was eying them when he posted them for sale but i dont have the cash. theyr overkill in my mind for a car even if its moderately modified but they'll definately stop u faster.

Yea Lol... Loop's big brake will be good if u have a turbo in ur car... but for my crappy ride... not even much HP... will be a waste if i get them....

if you want better braking get more agressive semi-metalic pads. tire rack can help u get an idea. but they will possibly make noise occasionally when cold or braking lightly. oem pads aren't too bad though.

Hawks are good pads, better rotors could help to actually, but i really dont know. SS bake lines will help with responsivness now that u ask. but please, brakes are more important then anything else on a car, only get the best lol.

Just like how i was researching on what brand rims to get eariler this week...
I was looking into TSW but alot of forum ppl sed they r Too Soft Wheels... and i was like hell im stayin away...
Then i was looking at XXR because umm one of our member here have the XXR 006 Rims... and when i ask my neighbor who is the master collision guy at a subuaru dealer told me to get O.Z rims but they r EXPENSIVE! and i asked him should i get TSW XXR OR Tenzo he suggested me TSW... so i ended up getting TSW lol

fenderpicks, does your brake pedal feel spongy? when you press the pedal does it feel like it travels to the floor and theres no pressure but feels like your just pushing air? It seems weird to think of air entering the brake system while changing pads unless whoever did it did something really retarded. And the EBC reds are excellent pads, way better than any semi metallic pad that i know of. Another thing is when the pads were installed did you beat on them (any aggressive driving prior to putting about 100 miles on the new pads?) If you did their could be a chance that you glazed them. This happens when their is still break in material left on the pad surface and the brake gets hot creating a polished surface on the pad, therefore the friction is significantly reduced and initial stopping power is no longer there. The fix for glazed pads is to remove them and use a rough sandpaper to get that top layer off, or even rub it on the concrete flooring, then reinstall and go lightly for about the first 50 to 100 miles. Good luck with the fix and i hope we were able to help.
