Does anyone know the fitting size on the brake master cylinder lines?

and

Has anyone adjusted the pushrod in the brake booster? (or if is even possible?)

Backstory: on a long highway trip i noticed the brake pedal got soft but would pump up and only after a long stint on the gas, and absolutely no issues driving around town. I replaced the master cylinder with a parts store type and lots of bleeding the pedal goes down too much before engaging the brakes. It doesnt feel like air, i think the aftermarket master has a different size plunger (it only takes thousandths of an inch to be way different pedal feel. I want to adjust the pushrod in the brake booster (usually an acorn nut on the end of a threaded rod) and to get the master out will make a huge mess of brake fluid again and would be nice to have some plugs and caps ready

See BR-7 and BR-8:

There's a locknut on the pushrod yoke for adjusting pedal height and a spec for distance to the floor, but depending on the design of the pedal brackets, some of the locknuts are a complete PITA to get a wrench on. Haven't done that particular adjustment on an M (I'm a Nissan tech), so you'll have to see what's in there.

In case anyone is wondering it's M12x1.0

I ordered a fitting checker in Amazon, one for metric and one for standard. Between these and the bolt thread sizer I also ordered on Amazon, going to save a lot of time taking bolts to home Depot!

Following up on this issue, I think the system has some sort of self adjusting as the brake pedal now feels normal. Not sure how long it actually took since it my wife's daily and I drive it once a week or so. Bouncing between multiple vehicles I never really thought about it until recently and thought maybe I just got used to it but it actually has firmed up like it should be.
