I was on the way to school today on the highway and I notice that while slowing down coming to a light, my brake pedal went to the floor the first time I press it but then regains pressure when I press it again. When I try it again just randomly slowing down, the same problem happens (pedal goes to the floor but when I pump it the second time it regains a bit of pressure). I get to school and I check out my right rear wheel (my buddy who was riding with me told me that it was smoking from that area) and I see a trail of liquid streak in the wheel well. I'm going to take a wild guess and say this is a brake hose issue? My buddy says it's a caliper issue but from the seized calipers I've dealt with, they would be unbearably loud (no squeaking at all). There's still fluid in the BMC but I'm going to limp it to a friend's house nearby when I get out to see if I can resolve the issue.
Does this sound like a brake hose issue to you guys?
