alright so i put new brake pads on all around today.. now the pins that hold the clasper on (then move up and down and have a rubber boot on them) 2 of them wouldnt move.. both on the drivers side and both on the top.. when u change your brake pads your sopost to take them out and regrease them... well no dice one would atleast move from side to side the other is frozen.. my dad and i tryed EVERYTHING we even took a sleghammer to it.. it gave a little bit, just enough to put the brakes back together.. but it still is scarin me.. any idea as to how to get them off and regrease them? or is this really not that big of a problem? thanks for anyhelp u can provide..

This happened to my other car, I kept at it with PB blaster ,a penetrating oil its available at wal-mart. I kept on beating on it also used a propane torch to heat it up. It took along time but I got it out. If you dont fix it you will get uneven pad wear and decreased braking force, in my situation the outer pad was doing all the work so I was going through them left and right. I supose if you cant get it out you may be able to get a remanufactured caliper from an auto store if it comes with the caliper pins.

I hate those ****ing things. Some times i run into bolts that will take me like a couple hours to get off. There just so stuck in there , you think you'll die before you get them off. Masterman my best advise to you would be. Curse at it alot , and maybe kick the tires a few times , that sometimes works! Oh yea the cursing part , make sure you use the dirtest , foulest language you can that helps even more. Get creative man! Like for instance: You ****sucking ***** *** peice of **** mother ****ing car!

just a little hint. if you gease the pins with anti-seize (like you do for spark plug threads) they are easier to get out the next time you have to do brakes.
