What do you guys prefer? I boiled the sh1t out of mine this past weekend and need to flush it out with something better, a lot higher BP and good water absorbtion and decent wet BP. Thinking about Valvoline Synpower because it's easy to get a hold of, but I've never used it on a track before. I've got some recommendations for Motul but that stuff is expensive.

Other than MOTUL 600 the only available good fluid is Valvoline SynPower.

Dry boiling point of 502F.The wet bp ( more important for street applications) is 380F or so

I love valvoline synpower. Pretty nice stuff...now if I could only get some pressure in my brakes...

I got Motul 600, but I'm waiting for the rest of my brake parts to put it in.

I boiled my brake fluid looooong ago racing some random canyon in SoCal.

I was looking for a brand and make, not a spec standard. The stuff I boiled was DOT3/4.

Why don't we just have this big picnic and lets all boil are brakefluid. BTW how can you do this??? I'm curious cuz my 240's master cycl is i would say a ft away from my exhaust mani that has no heatshield on it... and i don't have any problems yet..

I wouldn't worry about that exhaust manifold. I'm sure it doesn't help, but it's nothing compared to the temps seen by the rotors/calipers/fluid.You'll boil that fluid under intense braking situations, like on track, mountain driving or a couple 80-0mph hard brakes depending on current condition of brake fluid (how much water has been absorbed).http://www.swedishbricks.net/7...n.htmh ... e_dot.html

My mechanic is putting Valvoline Synpower DOT 3/4 in my car today. I'll let you know what the changes were.

I had some generic AutoZone crap in from when my master cylinder died. Nothing like changing a master cylinder in the parking lot at AutoZone.

I felt so ghetto.

Ya but atleast your not stupid and drove it home with the e brake as a best friend like me... when i blew my front right caliper... didn't help using the brakes and having your rear tires lock up before your ront left caliper would start working :(

ATE Super blue fluid anyone?I had it in my last 2 cars and am about to use it in my 240. Great stuff... kind of hard to get a hold of, but decent price (less than 12 bucks)
