I just realized I have a very spongy brake and when i pop the hood, the brake fluid it lower than MIN level, is it necessary to bleed the whole system ? or can I just top it off with brake fluid ?

Thx

how low is low?

if its barely lower than min.... no... but that wont fix the spongyness

if its near the bottom then u definately need to bleed the system :(

well i topped it off with valvo synpowerit fixed the spongy brake but there's definitely a leak. but the weird thing is, i found the fluid leaving from the left steering arm boots, i can't see it clearly but looks like somewhere in the steering unit.

its probably coming off the master cyl. since it is right above that steering boot.. did you possibly spill some fluid?
