I was doin some spirited driving tonight (empty highway) and hit the brakes to slow down from about 90ish and my pedal just kind of gave away and I had to push down realllly far in order to make them work. When I first hit them I didn't slam them or anything, just slowing down. Luckily I was getting off at an exit and was able to make it the next 1/2 mile to play some football, but it took a lot of pressure to brake... felt like I pushin down on a pillow.

I checked the fluid level and it was right at the max point where I had filled it about a month and a half ago when I replaced the front rotors, calipers and pads. I didn't have any problems with them until tonight. What I don't get though is after playing football for about an hour I got back in and they were working fine??? Brake rotors are duralast, pads are duralast ceramic, calipers are oem replacements.

Anyone have any idea of what the problem could be?

you could have faded the crap out of em if your braking power was diminished. if they lost pressure and your foot sank to the floor with a soft pedal, I'd check over the lines to see if they have any signs of cracking or bulging. if the pedal was just hard to press on, check out the booster
