 I have a 2002 Infiniti I35 with 195k I was driving home from class today and all seemed as it usually does, for a car this old. I stopped at a red light and my car lost all power. At that time the brake light. Engine light and battery light came on. I threw my hazards on. Turned my car off and attempted to restart it. It gave me some trouble but I got it going. It seemed to be driving a little weird. When I restarted my car the battery and brake light went off but the tcs off light and slip light came on. I got to a store and had a harder time starting the car back up but thankfully got it going. The tcs light. Engine light and slip light are still on. But I'm scared to drive my car. My belt has been making noise for some time now and when popping the hood I smelt burnt rubber. Could it just be a belt that's causing this problem? I don't have much money and hoping it isn't something huge. Any one have any ideas what it could be???? Help me please. :frown:

Hi,I'm in the Maxima section (I'm new owner (3 weeks)of a 2002 Maxima V6 35, 160k, )daughter-in-law car, desent shape& very good price,
Almost same problem, while driving, low &high speed, stalls, but lucky enough restart almost immediately, (came in handy on interstate, dropped to neutral, & restarted). When stall starts, my engine Service light comes on, And TCS shows off, along with Slip light on,, after Parked/sitting the slip and TCS no longer lit until a stall again, good luck also.im going to watch your post for my answer

Hi Arnold, welcome to NICO Club!

Sorry about the slow replies. There's less active Max owners than we used to have I guess. Each post has a date in the upper left corner. You'll see this person posting nearly a year ago. Each person has a post count under their name on the right. You'll see this person has only posted once.
So, there's not much use in following along as they are probably gone from the scene.

I did see your other thread and that's where I'll post.
