I'm trying to figure out if something is wrong with my rear brakes. My front brakes are FILLED with brake dust after a couple weeks after a wash, and my rear brakes have not a spec of brake dust...two and three weeks in they look like they were just washed. The rear pads have plenty of meat and they are the same type of pads as the front. So I basically am questioning if the pads are clamping down. I know the calipers are not seized, so I'm wondering if this is normal for our rear brakes.

As you already know, the front pads do most of the stopping. Rear rotors are smaller, rear calipers are smaller, etc. I get very little dust on any of my wheels due to the MGP caliper covers which make the dust fly inward and towards the ground under the center of the car. Still, there IS dust on the rears - a very faint, barely visible coating, but there is dust on my finger after a couple weeks. Did you give the rear wheels the naked finger test?
If it matters, I only use the brakemotive kits so I get new rotors and pads installed instead of getting 'brake jobs' on either axle

I sprayed the sonax junk on it that changes color with brake dust contact, and I saw nearly nothing on one wheel, and absolutely nothing on the other rear.
