I searched and yielded nothing useful.

I just recently started having a problem with my brakes. The Pedal is very hard when I try to depress it to apply the brakes and this is when the car is on. The car also takes longer to brake I have to force my foot in there to get the car to stop. The pedal is extremely hard not spongy.

Any ideas as to causes this???

Thanks for your help, it is greatly appreciated.

I'm not really sure, but perhaps your brake booster is broken, or it's not getting any vaccum. Check the brake booster vaccum line for leaks.

couldn't find any leaks. but I am assuming that it is either my brake master cylinder or the brake booster.

Anybody know if it could be one or the either?

anybody know how much money each would cost and how much time??

Thanks again

check the booster with the car off. all hoses on, depress pedal about 3 times. if it goes up with each press and by the 3rd it should be pretty much at the top then your booster's fine. never had to replace a booster, but did my bmc a little while ago. cost like 50 bucks and took about an hour and a half since you've gotta flush and bleed the brakes afterwards
