I have to service my mom's POS 19 Rogue SV soon for brake and trans Fluid. I am currently "flagged"/"banned" from the local Nissan stealership since their prices are absolute rape (I ain't gonna pay more than $100 for this pos for basic service). Would Honda's DOT 3 brake Fluid be compatiable with the Rogue's brake system? And would Honda's CVT/ATF fluid be compatible, since I have been taking this vehicle to Honda for service?

datechboss......I would see if 5.1 fluid , claimed compatible w/DOT-4 AND definitely superior to ANY DOT-3 I believe . Advntage = Superior spec across the board I believe ,like most important a MUCH higher boiling point AND superior viscosity that supposed to be best during ABS activation , the " stutter-stop " , ya know

Ask around though

Any DOT3 brake fluid would work.
For CVT, anything NS-3 equivalent is fine. Doesn't have to be Nissan's brand as long as it meets their specs. Major branded after market companies like Valvoline, Castrol, etc do have a specific CVT fluid different from their Automatic trans fluid that meets NS-3 specs.

Personally I have done a drain and fill twice on our 2015 with Castrol's CVT fluid. Zero issues.
I have not had the brakes touched. Still on orig pads, rotors, and fluid. Over 92,000 miles.
