Hello everyone,

My 2012 Infiniti M35h experiences sudden jerks when braking during engine changes (combustion - electric). It's quite confusing and hard to explain.

When going downhill, it's most noticeable. I brake to slow down and brake gently, and suddenly it releases and brakes very hard, or releases then brakes, then releases and brakes again. The transition is rather abrupt, it's really unpleasant.

I don't have a fault in the OBD.

I'm going to start by bleeding the brakes and taking a look at the condition of the discs.

I thought I read that the ABS sensors can do this, even if they didn't show up on the diagnostic scan.

Same goes for the dual-contact brake sensor.

Thank you in advance.

Mine when i bought it was doing something similiar. I was braking gently and then either start braking hard or almost not braking at all. Last month i did a change of coolant and a change of brake fluid and they adjust me the pads and hand/foot brake and now brakes smooth like a normal car. Idk if its the same problem but ill try doiing that first.

Hello Elchotogrande,

If I follow you, the problem you had was that your braking deteriorated significantly and you had to press harder and harder?

In my case, the braking is either normal and flexible or violent and violent, often at the thermal/electric transition or when going downhill.

Not sure if i understand the last part of your message. But yeah, i think the last owner didnt do a bleed in the braking fluid system and/or adjust the cable or something of the foot/hand brake for a long time, so my brake was spongi, like the first half of the pedal wasnt doing much braking, but i press just a tiny bit more and the braking became inconsistent, and brake hard or almost nothing, was weird. But i didnt have such weird or drastic behavior like yours, i go downhill to work everyday and wasnt like you say, mine was just like there was not middle part pressing the brake pedal, was to little breaking or to much breaking, no in between

PS: sorry for my bad english, not my first language
