An initial aside- the search button is proving to be useless as of late. I know this subject has been brought up before, but search will not find it.

About 4 months ago I replaced my front brake rotors, machined my rear ones, and put on all new pads. However, over the past few days, when I brake just slightly harder than normal to a complete stop (say, at a stop sign), one of the brakes on the driver side seems to slip and makes a clunking sound.

Does anybody know anything about this?

the clunking sound is coming towards the back or front? Once you've isolated it, have a look at that wheel. One of the caliper pin bolts could have come off, could be worn suspension parts (struts, ball joint, bushings) or even just something as simple as shims.
