Brake Clicking

Tried to find a few threads but nothing helped.

ALright, i have my 95 240, no abs, and whenever i tap the brakes or hit them harder, the front driver side caliper always does a loud click sound. The brakes work fine and nothing is wrong, but I dont want this noise to do some serious damage if its something that needs to get fixed asap. I'm hoping its just a loose caliper, any ideas? thanks.

are you positive its your brakes and not a suspension or shock pivot that is binding. ive had it happen to me before. can you jack up front and make it do it spining it by hand.

he has a good point about the suspension, if you have changes out the springs and didnt put back in that round rubber piece you will get some strange noises. and if its the brakes what i would do is make sure the caliper is tight, and do you have the metal shims on the pads???

I second that, both. If you're sure it's the brakes, and they are tightened down, replace the little metal shims in the brakes, they keep the pads from moving back and forth.

Hmmmm... Interesting, i have replaced the suspension so that might be it. But i think it might be the shims being lose or the caliper itself. I'm pretty positive that its the brakes because even if i just tap them when I'm already moving, a tap so that it wont even slow down the car, it makes the noise. I'm going to check out all the options and get back to you guys cause the sound is loud. Thanks a bunch. will get back to you guys.
