Hi,

Im new to the forums, so i joined because I needed help on my 2007 Nissan Altima (I've had this car for 3.5 years now). Just recently, I have been experiencing really bad problems with my car. Everytime I want to start up my car nothing happens, except it only turns to the ACC position, to LOCK, to OFF. I do press the brake when I push the button (trust me, I know I am, like I stated above I have drove this car for more than 3 years. I know how to turn on my car). I know its not the battery because I just had it replaced about 1 year ago.

But, this evening I saw something I never saw before. When my car was completely shut off i pressed the brake without pressing the start button, and I realized that the brake lights were not turning on, which is weird because all brake lights on any car should automatically turn on when you hit the brake. Could this be some sort of reason why my car does not turn on?

Also, has anybody experienced this as well?

Yep. There is a "switch" on the back of the pedal. It's either worn out or out of place. Take a look :).
