I have a 2005 g35x and the problem I'm having is the same exact problem I had 3 months ago. My car shakes at around 40-50 mph, amd after the tired seem to get heated I can smell burnt rubber. The brake light also comes on imNside the car, along with the slip light, although there is no slipping.

When this happened three months ago we changed the caliper which was deemed as sticking. We also changed the brake hose. This is occurring n the front driver side brake.

The unique thing about this problem is that I had my tire replaced at a tire shop about a week before this problem occurred three months ago, and when the Same problem popped up now it is also one week after I took my car to the same tire shop for a tire rotation.

I don't think that the same brake could have the caliper wear out after three months and the visits to the tire shop seem too coincidental. Is there anything that they couldve done that could be causing this?

What other problems does anyone know of? What would cause a bran new caliper to stick after 3 months, even after changing bresk line?

Thanks

The first question that comes to mind is where are you taking the vehicle to have the brake work done? It is possible the problem could be back especially if the brake caliper was really never replaced.

Have you taken off the wheel to see where the tire is rubbing? If you smell burning rubber than you may have a rub mark somewhere which would help you troubleshoot the problem..

I would say the smell is the brake pads if the caliper is stuck.

I've had a stuck caliper before and it smelled nothing like burnt rubber :)
