The upper sliding pin on both of my caliper mounts seem to be stuck, I can't pull or push them into the socket, but I can rotate them.

If this pin is not supposed to be stuck, can anyone tell me why it could be stuck and how to pull it out?

No the guide pins are not supposed to be stuck, but they don't move that much. They should feel spongy when you push. I can't remember for sure, but I think you have to unbolt the caliper to get the pins out. Just pull the pins and they should come out. The rubber boots on them are all that really holds them in. It's a good idea to take tem out clean them and re-grease them every time a break job is done.

The only slide pins I wasn't able to pull out were the upper pins on the front axle calipers.

I'm guessing their being stuck was also why my new rotors and new pads were too thick to fit when I tried to reinstall the calipers.

Any tips on how I can remove the stuck pins?
