I keep blowing the damn thing off where the two sides of it meet on the firewall under hard boost and high revvs (over 7k RPM) Can I just replace it all with one hose, or is there some reason why it is two peice? Also, how mush pressure does that line see (so I can pick the right hose strength)?

Eh.. mine came off once before after I watched THE RING!!!!!!!

It tried to kill me. It's from those stupid "resistance" type clamps.. they loosen after a while, I bought those trusty screw type ones and tightened her down pretty good.. i'd try that. This is a vacuum line -- so there shouldn't be any pressure causing it to blow off... (That IS how it works right?)

I'm boosted, so my mani sees pressure every time I press the throttle ;)

I really just wanna replace it with a solid hose, and I guess I was wondering if the fitting acts as some sort of restrictor or something.

I think the fitting/connector has a 1 way valve in it..

Damn. I will just get some new clamps then. I guess I can pull off the fitting and check it out tomorrow...
