hey guys got a question, i'm losing fluid pretty rapidly, i would say i have to top off every 2-3 days,

and today, i completely forgot to turn off the car to top it off, and the fluid just kept on going down.

once its filled and closed, i get pressure for a couple of days, and than the brake pedal distance can go pretty low before it actually engages, also before this happens, i can hear a slight popping sound from the pedal its a sound i can't quite describe, but only happens, when the fluid is low and that's my warning sign to top up again.

so i'm just wondering what it could be, i've replaced the master cylinder about 5 months ago, could it be its gone bad already or is it possible that the booster is gone.

can anybody help me out. tia.

its an 89 coupe, so non-abs and hicas.

Dont drive car until you fix problem:) Where is the fluid coming out? that stuff hangs around so find out where the leak is. calipers? reservoir? check bottom of master cylinder with your hand, can you feel brake fluid?

Agreed. You definitely have a leak somewhere whether it be a line, from the calipers or the master cylinder itself. If you can't see anything coming from the master cylinder then it's time to jack up the car and do a visual inspection of the lines and calipers with the wheels off.

we put it on the hoist today, doesn't seem to be leaking on the calipers or the lines, but the master is definitely leaking but its not pissing out, so could it be possible that the booster is bad as well?
