ok, heres the procedure.

if there are no leaks, and your sure about it, do this.-

run the motor for a few minutes, and pump the brake slowly three times.

right before you shut the motor off, push the brake pedal and hold it down. turn off the motor.

if the pedal sinks to the floor, the master cylinder is shot.

then hold the pedal down for a few seconds to see if it wants to rise against your foot. then pump its three times.

if the pedal rises against your foot, or you cant get one or two normal feeling pumps before the pedal gets hard from lack of vacuum, the booster is shot.

Ill give that a try.

the system is not completely bled it seems as the petal is really, really spongy feeling to it. i can lock up the rear tires but the front two seem to not be doing anything in terms of stopping power.

ThanksKyle

well, i am not bleeding them correctly because i have 1 broken and 2 sciezed bleedervalves. one is working correctly. doing the normal bleeding procedure adn instead of useing the valves i loosened the line goign to the caliper. this is crude but seems to work as i was building up pressure.

thats not good at all. your not going to be able to get all the air out of the system.

and sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the calipers with broken or siezed bleeders will need to be replaced.

because inorder for the brake system to be bled properly, you need the bleeder valves to be in working order.

i dont think there is anyone that will disagree with me when i say that once you break the bleeder valve off, the caliper needs to be replaced.

go to any garage around you and ask another mechanic. we will all tell you that the caliper needs to be replaced.

or you can take the caliper off, and try to extract the valve and replace it, or go the drill and tap route.

or a machine shop, but that will cost almost as much as a rebuilt caliper most likely.

try to remove the valve. most likely if the valve was rusted enough to cause it to snap, your going to damage the caliper trying to remove it.

well, try to get it out. if you mess the caliper up, its gonna have to be replaced so give it a shot just in case you can get it out.
